Choose cleaning service

We clean your valuable fur, shearling and leather pieces with the utmost care and genuine craftsmanship.

To have your fur, shearling or leather item cleaned, simply send us your jacket or coat. We will return it to you promptly once cleaning is complete.

Our cleaning department covers leather, shearling and fur. Contrary to what many assume, cleaning these materials is highly labour-intensive, as most of the work is carried out by hand in Germany. Before cleaning, every item is inspected and assessed. We then select the most suitable method to clean it as gently as possible. For premium garments, a standardised cleaning process is simply not appropriate. You can place your trust in our experience.

Care tips

Fur care & cleaning

For your fur garments

Fur garments are among the most durable items of clothing. Proper care preserves their value and makes them more comfortable to wear. We recommend having your treasured piece treated every two to five years. Our specialist drum-cleaning process removes dust and dirt. It restores the hair's natural lustre and silky feel while helping to prevent moth damage.

Professional fur cleaning should always be carried out by a specialist to ensure a good result using a gentle process. Long-haired furs, including fox, raccoon and mink, receive an additional finish with steam, brushing and combing. Our master furrier removes stains carefully and gently. We do not use chemical dry-cleaning processes, as they can dry out the fur and make the leather brittle.

Fur can cope with rain, snow and moisture. Shake it out thoroughly and allow it to dry slowly. Never hang it near a radiator or use a hairdryer: rapid drying causes the leather to contract and the hair to curl. Never put fur in the washing machine.

Is the collar greasy? We use a specialist treatment to draw excess grease out of the hair. A complete fur cleaning is not required for this process.

If your fur has moths, we can treat it using an Eulan process. The infestation is neutralised during cleaning and the moth eggs are removed. Afterwards, we can advise you on repairing any bare areas caused by moth damage.

Care tips

Shearling care and cleaning

For your shearling garments

Hard-wearing and robust: these are the hallmarks of a shearling garment. Shearling is usually supplied with a water-repellent finish. Even when this finish begins to wear, the material does not immediately become blotchy. Good waterproofing, renewed annually, reduces staining and soiling. When applying a spray, maintain an even distance and avoid concentrating the product on individual areas. We recommend having the waterproofing applied by a specialist who knows the vulnerable areas and can treat them accordingly.

Light soiling on rough or suede leather can be removed with a suede brush. For smooth leather, wiping gently with a damp cloth is usually sufficient.

Never pre-treat stains with water or stain remover. Modern specialist leather cleaning can gently remove almost any heavy soiling, provided the garment has not been pre-treated. Shearling cleaning must be carried out by a specialist. We will be happy to take care of it for you.

Grease marks can occur on shearling jackets, particularly on suede. Do not treat the leather with water or stain remover. Instead, sprinkle talcum powder, available from any pharmacy, onto the mark and leave it overnight. Brush it off the next day. If you would rather not treat the mark yourself, bring or send the jacket to us and our specialists will take care of it.

Shearling jackets and coats must not be washed. Washing causes the leather to shrink and lose its shape; it may also become hard and wrinkled. Online guides sometimes state that sheepskins can be washed. This does not apply to shearling jackets, coats or other shearling garments.

Every suede shearling jacket has a fine suede dust on the leather surface. Individual fibres or particles may settle on other garments. This is particularly noticeable when a dark jacket is worn over white clothing. It cannot be entirely avoided because of the natural structure of the leather: shearling is a completely natural product.

Care tips

Leather care and cleaning

Your leather in expert hands

Pure nature: leather is one of the most natural clothing materials. It is hard-wearing, comfortable and breathable, whether suede or nappa leather. Natural signs of wear are part of its distinctive character.

If something goes wrong, specialist leather cleaning can restore almost any problem and gently remove stains. Important: never pre-treat stains, not even with water. Leather is easy to care for when treated periodically with a colourless, water-repellent spray.

Exposure to light and sunlight can fade leather jackets and coats. After years of wear, nappa leather may become scuffed around sleeve edges, pockets or zips. We restore these areas through colour refreshing or recolouring, followed by refinishing or waterproofing. Damaged or roughened waterproof finishes can also be repaired.

Leather and shearling garments can dry out. Professional conditioning can restore the leather's suppleness. Excess fat that appears on the surface as fatty bloom can also be removed through professional leather cleaning.

Leather garments should be cleaned by a specialist. An ordinary textile dry cleaner cannot treat your leather jacket appropriately. Drawing on many years of experience, we provide a gentle and proven leather-cleaning service.
